File Manipulation

Explanation

Once one has a working Filename (including path and file) one can use it for moving or deleting files on one's local harddrive using these functions.

Functions

[bool] GeFileExist([Filename] fn, [bool] isdir);
[bool] GeFileKill([Filename] fn, [bool] isdir);
[bool] GeFileCopy([Filename] source, [Filename] dest, [bool] overwrite);
[bool] GeFileRename([Filename] source, [Filename] dest);
[bool] GeFileCreateDir([Filename] dir);

Descriptions

GeFileExist( fn, isdir )

[bool] GeFileExist([Filename] fn, [bool] isdir);

Checks if the file (directory) exists at the specified location.

GeFileKill( fn, isdir )

[bool] GeFileKill([Filename] fn, [bool] isdir);

Deletes the file (directory).

GeFileCopy( source, dest, overwrite )

[bool] GeFileCopy([Filename] source, [Filename] dest, [bool] overwrite);

Copies the file source to dest, overwriting dest if overwrite is TRUE. Returns TRUE if successful.

GeFileRename( source, dest )

[bool] GeFileRename([Filename] source, [Filename] dest);

Moves the file source to dest. If nothing has changed but the name of the file, this is the same as renaming source. Returns TRUE if successful.

GeFileCreateDir( dir )

[bool] GeFileCreateDir([Filename] dir);

Creates the directory that dir points to. Returns TRUE if successful.
